Vinhuset Opimius is a family owned business for wine import, escpecially from Italy. The company was established in 2001 and works locally in south of Sweden, primarilay with restaurants, conference centers etc. The focus on Italy is simply because it is from there we have the sommelier education, via AIS Roma, and it is there we know the language and the culture.

We are not 100% true to Italy, though. Someone said something like "Wine, is a beverage produced in France". We can see some grain of truth in that statement and bring also with pleasure some wine from France and occasionally also from Spain and Portugal.

However, Italy is the biggest wine producer and represent the most requested wine in Sweden. The reason for this is our opinion self evident. No other country can  like Italy offer a wide variety of wines, produce wine of good quality to affordable prices and in the same time have a depth eunough to create really great wines. 

We work with hotels, restaurants, conference centers etc, i.e. all kind of businesses having a licence to serve alkohol. To us the personal meeting is of outmost importance and we strive to find the right combinations, food and wine.

In Malmoe, south Sweden, we have our ware hose and keep a stock of relatively wide assortment, for delivery within 24 hours from order. In crisis situations we can deliver almost any time in the day.
