TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE USE OF MYLOG

 

Below you find information concerning terms and conditions for the service MyLog – your personal log for occupational exposure as a firefighter. These terms and conditions apply to individuals who have downloaded MyLog and created a profile as a user and for the use of the log itself. Your occupational tasks should involve fire extinction if you wish to make use of this service.

 

CONTRACTING PARTIES

 

These conditions apply to you and MyLog, a service owned and operated by Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer.

 

ABOUT THE SERVICE

 

MyLog is an app for logging exposure to chemical carcinogens in the course of your work as a firefighter. You can read more about this service under “about MyLog”. 

 

PRICE AND PAYMENT

 

Creating a profile at MyLog and use of the service cost 5 Euros in a onetime payment when purchasing this application.

 

DELETING YOUR PROFILE

 

As a MyLog user you are free to delete your profile. Notification of deletion of your account must be given in writing to MyLog via MinLogg@brannmennmotkreft.no. You may also edit information at your profile page at any time.

 

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

By accepting these terms and conditions you agree that Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer may process your personal information in accordance with the following terms and our privacy protection policy.

 

- STORED INFORMATION

Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer gathers information given by you in your MyLog profile, such as name, phone number, and email address. This may also include information such as type of workplace and whether you work full or part time if this is stated in your profile.

Information is stored in our database and solely used for statistical purposes.

In addition, information concerning the use of the service is stored. When you use MyLog we register data that you as a user log via the service. These are data concerning occurrences of exposure, such as duration and type of incident. It may also include geographic location and use of protective equipment.

 

 

 

- PURPOSE OF STORING INFORMATION

We store your information to enable you to use the service and keep an account of every case of exposure. These data are your documentation of conditions you have been exposed to through your work.

MyLog requires personal data such as name, phone number, and email address. These are data that are stored in internal databases and used to provide user support, and also to provide the best possible service.  In addition, your data will provide Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer with documentation of the use of this service and overall fire related exposure in Norway. The following are some examples of how MyLog will apply information about you as a user:

  • Demographic data are used to compare you to other users.
  • Information about exposure is used to show relevant and interesting statistics.
  • Email address is collected so we may send user information and for support issues.

 

Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer will not share, sell, pass on, or in any other way hand over your personal data beyond what is described in this personal data protection declaration without first obtaining your consent.

 

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data that is collected is stored and processed in a safe and secure manner. We have established and documented routines and measures to secure the data’s integrity, accessibility, and confidentiality according to the Personal Data Act’s section 13.

 

CONTROLLER

Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer is the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data as described above and for data connected to MyLog. We otherwise refer to our privacy protection policy for further information about our processing of personal data and use of cookies and similar technology.

 

CONSENT TO MARKETING

As a user of MyLog you consent to Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer sending emails with information about MyLog.

 

CHANGES IN AGREEMENT
The terms and conditions stated here apply from the point the user registers at Norwegian Firefighters Fight Cancer and until new terms and conditions are published on our web page.
