Skeg and wear strip kit

The cure for weathercocking problems. Here is a fine kit that will cure weathercocking once and for all, and also protect the skin of your Greenland kayak from 98% of all wear.

The kit comprises 2 hardwood strips - pre-bent and pre-drilled. Stainless screws for fixing them to the kayak are included. Also, two stainless bits for attaching the loose hardwood skeg to the rear wear strip. All is oiled and ready to use on any Greenland style kayak.

For normal use, you will have the skeg lying inside the kayak. This is a thing that you seldom use, but when you need it, it is more than handy. If you know it will be windy and you need to go from A to B in side winds, you put the skeg on and paddle comfortably. For all the other days of paddling a little this and that, it just stays in the kayak.
