# 1. Picture of a client’s horse that had an Endoscopic examination done by the University of Florida. The horse was diagnosed with gastric ulcers.

The horse’s feeding program was changed and the horse began treatment with Gastrofor.

# 2. The picture is of the same horse after being treated with Gastrofor for 35 days. You can see the healing process has definitely begun to take place.

# 3. The picture is of the same horse with a completely healed stomach. The only product used was Gastrofor.

At this point, the horse was back in full training, had not been treated for approximately 60 days, and continued to be free of gastric ulcers.

Gastrofor

The vitamins and minerals in Gastrofor/Gastromin are known to neutralize stomach acidity, normalize the enzyme activity, strengthen the stomach lining and prevent the occurrence of gastritis and peptic ulcer. Gastric motility and emptying rate is stimulated by nutritional balance and reduces the load on the stomach's nerves.

Active Substances:  Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Phosphate, Niacin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Ascorbic Acid.

Calcium Carbonate works like an anti-acid which neutralizes stomach acid and raises the ph level to 7.

Magnesium phosphate is especially useful for curbing gastric disturbances—gas, flatulence, and belching.  It also counteracts cramps and colic.

Calcium carbonate and Magnesium Phosphate work well together and are important for controlling nerve to muscle impulses.

Niacin (B3) is important for cell respiration.  It helps to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins; and it promotes normal function of bile and stomach fluids.  Niacin is known to have a healthy effect on the nervous system and to produce an anti inflammatory effect.  It is absorbed through the stomach and small intestine.

Pyridoxine (B6)  boosts the immune system.  It is necessary for the normal breakdown or metabolism of protein, carbohydrates, and fats.  It is essential for the production of red blood cells and for proper absorption of B-12.  (Some conditions, including diarrhea, intestinal problems, and stress or injury, may increase the need for Pyridoxine)

Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) promotes healthy cell development, normal tissue growth, and the repair and strengthening of the walls of the capillaries.  It has a positive effect on the immune system and allergies and acts as a natural antihistamine.

Summary:

In their influence on the stomach peristaltic, these active substances perform as a catalyst for the syntheses of amino acid Lysine and as a natural anti-histamine.

These active substances combine to bring a quick reaction to the hyper-active production of gastric acid.  Many of our customers report that they can see the horse’s improved condition after 3 days.

When a horse’s stomach becomes swollen and inflamed, the horse is likely to lose its appetite and experience pain in the abdomen.  These active ingredients will not only counteract such symptoms but can reduce the risk of gastric ulcers.

The best way to prevent digestive problems in your horse is to feed and water it properly and to avoid conditions that cause stress.  Regular daily use of these ingredients as part of your horse’s diet can keep it healthy.
