Yeast & Tasting Notes:
Let's be honest, the haze craze is here to stay. Proteins from the mash, hop haze and low flocculent yeast all create the appearance of the turbid juicy New England-style IPA. For this recipe, we used WLP066London Fog Ale Yeast because it creates soft citrus-like esters which complimented the stonefruit and catty notes from New Zealand-sourced Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin hops. The low bitterness and added body from the oats made a highly drinkable beer which has been one of the quickest selling beers we've ever had in our Tasting Rooms. Needless to say, we'll be making this again at some point and in the meantime, you should too. --Erik Fowler, White Labs Education & Engagement Curator
